Ive just ordered the Genesis CDF 931, Im changing the tyres to Conti 4 seasons 28mm. Can anyone recommend any mudguards that are easy to fit? Ive heard its tricky due to the disc brakes? Not fussed how much they cost - just want decent ones.

Thanks

Good choice of tyre. I have black SKS Reflectives on my CdF; I can post a pic of the front fitting, not the most elegant, but I like the protection they give:

As a mudguard pioneer we have developed the BLUEMELS mudguard set utilizing 3M reflective material.
This ensures a better visibility in dark hours and thus more safety on the road. It shall be understood as an additional feature and is not a replacement for spoke reflectors or reflective tyres.
The reflective BLUEMELS mudguard set comes in two colours (silver & black) including a rear reflector plus an extended mud flap in the front.

rim: 28"
color: Black and Silver Reflective
weight: 592 g
Length front fender: 780 mm
length rear fender: 1285 mm
Art.No. 11007

If you're concerned about fitting and not about cost, get a good LBS to do for you. Indeed, the dealer should do it for free especially if you buy the mudguards from them

The bolts are M5 (standard for all mudguard bosses, bottle cage bolts, most rack bosses etc).
The confusion arises because they frequently take a 4 mm allen key.

The stand-off spacer in the Genesis blog looks the neatest solution.
If you can't get a suitable spacer anywhere else, St John Street sell a 41mm "headlamp offset spacer" for £5.
