Will any work?

My bike has 35c tyres. I think,

I'm just concerned I'll end up buying something that won't fit.

I'd guess that SKS Chromoplastic 700/45 would be the default choice.

Having just fitted 2 sets to the winter bikes I'd say that they are superb.... but the person who wrote the fitting instructions should be dragged outside and slowly beaten to death with a D-lock.

If you're not 100% mechanically confident, or don't possess an extensive vocabulary of interesting and varied swear words then it may be worth getting them fitted at the LBS.

I think I could have a good stab at it to be honest.

The SKS ones were the ones I were after. Guess I'd need bolts, I don't think they came with?

The two sets I have bought and installed came with all the necessary bits but only the exact amount. If you're going to fit them do it indoors where you can retrieve any fallen nuts etc. Being able to crop the stays might be necessary too depending on how they look. Fit and forget once on though. Goodluck!

Also, let the LBS try to find different mudguards to fit. Might be best to warn them before it goes in so they can get stock

I bought SKS Bluemels in the end and fitted them myself. Very pleased!

Good job, I've fitted a few sets of SKS myself. Fiddly but worth the time & patience.
The only set I've had fitted by LBS (came with new bike). Weren't fitted that well & took some work to get right.

Yes I had to make a DIY modification to mine because the hole where the bridge is meant to go is 90' the wrong angle on my bike, so I *carefully* drilled a hole through the mudguard itself and it came out very well indeed.
