Had exactly the same issue with the Litespeed (Ultegra 6800)- or rather my LBS what fitted the 'guards did. Trimming was required. P45s.

FWIW I have P45s fitted and have no issues with tyres up to 35mm.

Just changed the stock tyres to Kenda Block8s - much more comfortable and I'm hoping for improved puncture protection but the increased rolling resistance is definitely noticeable.
