*stays quietThe guy in question doesn't wind up for the year so not sure how he winds down at the end of it![]()
We have to get our time sheets in early at the end of November so that they sort it all out before next week.On Monday a guy on the shop floor said 'I bet it is nice in the office, winding down for the week', I replied that 'no actually, not us 2 in the accounts dept-we cannot wind down we have to continue upto the last day' he seemed surprised so I had to explain that everyone wanted to be paid on the 24th, our suppliers wanted paying etc..... so no we don't have time to chill out this week.
It sounds like he's got his head screwed on right. The guy in question doesn't wind up for the year so not sure how he winds down at the end of it![]()
Much as I enjoy the mental image that creates but I would have to deal with their bad mood on top of my lack of sleep!Morning Summerdays, time to get junior out of bed, or at least hoover the landing, bashing the bedroom door as you go..
I don't begrudge them the evening with friends, in the summer I didn't feel they made enough effort to keep in touch with local friends so it's good that they have seen various different friends this holiday. They were very quiet when they came in, just wish I wasn't as worried ... There wasn't any reason to be... Just a clucky parent wanting to keep her chicks safe.I can sympathise. It's happened 3 times in the last week with No 1 son. He's with us until 6 Jan when he flies out to Botswana. He's perfectly able to take care of himself but it's the anticipation of that key in the door that keeps me awake. We'll miss him hugely when he's gone - although I won't miss the disturbed nights.
I'll swap you your menacing clouds for mine....
