@Reynard - the BUCS 25-mile TT was supposed to be near you this afternoon, but they've had to postpone it due to high winds. A rider got blown over yesterday test-riding the course.

That doesn't surprise me in the slightest - we've got the hatches battened down here.

On the upsides, because it's been so wet, we'll avoid a Fen Blow. Which is good, because get caught in one and it takes three weeks to get your ears clean... :surrender:

Nope.. Just starting to see a bit of light at 05:30..👍
AHH. Well it's 5 here at the moment.
Today I'm going to tidy up mess from the wind and rain... How much joy will be determined by what cake is served.

When I was driving mum back from Littleport at teatime, there was a bunch of young lads who had dismounted from their bikes and were walking along the verge as the headwind down Black Bank was just too much. And Black Bank is two miles long and arrow straight...

Once cycling home from work down Skipton Road hill I as normal went to freewheel and got blown backwards.

Popped out this afternoon to get some rolls for tea and it was nice & warm in the sunshine. However, trying to bike into the headwind....

There was also another rain shower while I was making a mug of hot chocolate a few minutes ago. At least the windows were clean for a few hours.

The wind driven rain battering my front windows cleans them nicely. They got well done yesterday.
