Square plate Saturday?

Yes, it's a square plate today.:hyper:

You have to wonder why plates never come in other shapes like triangular or dodecagonal.🤔

High winds as forecast but no cancellations of local ferries so far. Not yet raining.
A large cruise liner is anchored in the bay but no idea if this is a scheduled visit or just taking shelter. The skipper has lots of anchor chain out as it is swinging over a wide arc.
There is a lot of arguement about these ships but when we had a shop the passengers were more nuisance than profit as they crowded in for a poke around but bought nothing. Some shoplifting tho' as it was difficult to keep an eye on them all due to crowding.
A survey was done in Lerwick where it was found that passengers spent very little if anything when ashore.

Full on spat on FB about the behaviour of many motorhome drivers who park on pavements and generally cause blockages. The complainant has photos to prove their point but only those who do not live here defend this behaviour which is getting more common. The last time I was down the street the bus parking area which is clearly marked was blocked by a couple of them.

Text just in that all morning ferries to/from Oban cancelled with a review at 1500hrs.

Good morning from a bright and not yet as breezy as expected Suffolk. First coffee of the day has been done and a very good one it was. I was a bit confused when I put the radio on earlier and it wasn't Radcliffe/Maconie, but Deb Grant who's been doing the breakfast show stand in all week.

I've woken up with a real hankering for some sausage rolls so I'm going to have to go out soon to get some sausages. And rolls.

Wet surfaces but dry and stupid winds yet arrive so the ebike had a varied Saturday morning visit to Waitrose by stopping at a town centre cycle stand first, it's rider in need of some more powerful eye drops for the watering eye.
On the return discovered the way blocked. Diversion posted for pedestrians but no mention for cyclists and it is a signed cycle route. Pedestrian way I realised would be pretty cycling unfriendly but then realised there was a subway accessing another cycle route down a road I have never cycled. So a rare bit of local new road coverage.

Earlier this evening I went out into the back garden and there were at least 50 snails advancing towards the building. If they're attacking I should be safe for a few hours. Meanwhile, can any snail savants/escargotologists tell me why they're on the move when it's not raining?

I would suggest melting some butter in preparation for the confrontation. This army actually does march on its stomach. Moltke might suggest remaining mobile, and alert for any opportunity logistics will permit.
