It's been a warm but mostly grey day here chez Casa Reynard.
Despite a quiet day yesterday, I did not sleep well. The four kilos of plums I'd picked over the weekend had ripened far more quickly than anticipated, ergo my morning was vacuumed by having to prep all of that fruit. Most of it went into a batch of plum butter, which is half made. I will finish doing that tomorrow, as it now needs to have a closer eye kept on it as it cooks. The remainder was diverted into a plum crumble - with a few greengages wanged in for good measure.
Also did a load of laundry.
Among this afternoon's tasks were picking up mum's prescription and Lexi's, as she still needs antibiotics till Thursday. One of the receptionists had her cocker spaniel with her, so of course, I had to give him fusses and treats.

While I was doing that, out from the doggy ward comes what I assumed was a small elephant ploughing towards its mummy, and dragging the vet on the end of the lead.
I have never seen a dog this huge, seriously. I had NO idea St Bernards could get that big - I could've ridden it like a pony! I did have a fuss though - such a lovely and friendly doggo, albeit a very slobbery one.
Supper was a tomato, mozzarella, basil & avocado salad along with some bread & butter, with plum crumble & custard for afters.
A quiet evening is planned. Hopefully I will get some writing done, as I've not done any today. Although that said, my grey cells were turning over how best to continue with the next section of the story. I have the plot, just need to figure out what gives me the biggest impact in terms of the character conflict.
