Evening Aldi trek, needed as I was in danger of nodding off. Transpired the A59 is open easrbound despite the road closure sign implying otherwise
An out of service bus showed what the issue as it passed by the works in pauses, plainly instead of road closed the sign should say width restriction.
Called into the Co-op hoping for some Aldi price chicken breasts only to find that had ended.
Used the phone and the Garmin 530 to track the walk. Phone tracking had gone off in a straight line whilst in Lidl, whilst the Garmin's was correct once it finally uploaded into Strava. Still fumbling with it simply trying to get it to switch off nearly saw it get thrown across the room. Why cannot Garmin design a display that tells you what to press.

A very enjoyable if breezy couple of hours out in the countryside was had this afternoon. After a shower I just put the radio on, laid down on the sofa and zoned out for half an hour - no snoozing, just closed my eyes and laid there doing nothing. That was then followed by a 2.5 mile walk in the warm late afternoon sunshine to get some milk as I'd drunk what I had in the fridge when I got home from the ride.

Since then, other than making my tea and a mug of hot chocolate, absolutely nothing has been done.

Another lovely day.:sun:

A slightly less hectic day at work today. A work colleague is 30 today so a large cake was doing the rounds at the office. Very nice it was too.

I went for my usual 20 mile ride but it came to an abrupt halt with one of those mechanicals that you can't fix at the roadside...:cursing: Something gives me the impression that I need a new bottom bracket spindle....
