Dismal dull day with spells of drizzle.
Post WAH the first box I looked in the bike shed had a projecting Garmin mount. It was more of a hunt for a suitable shim and surprisingly easy to find a bolt to suit the still attached bolt. Now attached to the ebike. Garmin 530 on charge.

It's been a cool-feeling and mostly overcast day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept really well and treated myself to a bit of a lie in. Thankfully the snot deluge has abated. I am now bunged, headachey and chesty (no, not the booby kind of chesty!), and my get-up-and-go has gotten up and buggered off.

I did put the last lot laundered dust sheets in Min Min's boot this morning. At least there, they'll be mouse free. And I swept all the muck off the mower, and then swept the garage floor. I've also started removing the cutting deck from the mower, but will finish that tomorrow maybe. I need to concentrate on what I'm doing, and I'm kind of struggling with that right now.

But I did have a little treat of a bimble around the garden and wood. I found some hazelnuts, and picked a basket of windfall bramleys. I think another batch of apple butter might be on the cards if they're up to snuff. If not, into the green bin they go.

A quiet evening is planned. I am watching Trent Rockets v Manchester Originals

My wife just suddenly burst into tears! She just found out that a dog my daughter has taken on has had to go to the dogs home. The dog is an Alsation Husky cross and apparently bit a child. It was a dog that my wife got on with but our daughter has 2 young children so it could pose a problem even though it gets on with them really well.

That's a shame. But better safe than sorry.

Trouble is though, kids are not good at reading a dog's body language and will push their luck without realising it. And if the dog's not happy, it will communicate that displeasure in the most emphatic way it knows.
