Another overcast day
Drivers car mat in the Fiesta is well worn and duck taped. All attempts to win a car competition have failed so decided to buy it a new set. After looking at various cheap ones decided on the offical set as they are presumably better quality.

Enjoyed a couple of hours on the bike earlier in light cloud and mid teens temperatures. Quite a tailwind at times on my return leg, I think it must have got up during my ride as I hadn’t noticed it on the way out. Since I’ve been home the cloud has got darker and it’s now looking like rain so I’m glad I got out when I did. The afternoon will be spent watching the ToB and the Vuelta.

Bread and and a couple of extra bottles of squash have been shopped, a load of cycle clothing is in the wash, second coffee has been drunk and what passes for grass has been cut, although was more like behead the dandelions and vacuum up the leaf fall from the neighbour's tree.

It's still very warm and windy so an ice cream is about to be had as a treat and then I'm going to stretch out on the sofa and see how far into the Italian GP I last before dozing off.

Finally one half of the patio no longer resembles a plant shop.

In April, I bought some plants: nine Verbena Buenos Aires, and three Physocarpus (aka Nine Bark) Magic Ball. From May it was too dry/hot to put plants in the ground, and they got big and tall and bigger and even more big, and taller.

Last Friday the ground was soft enough to plant them all. I should add that it was my Gardening Assistant who planted them, not me. The prizes from Ernie Bond are often used to pay my Assistant.

The other half of the patio is a seating area, with some plants in pots.

It's been a warm but overcast and breezy day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept really well, but of anyone is wondering what that squeaking and creaking noise is, that's my back and knees. I am much in need of some GT85. I had a lie in, and all I've really done today is make cheese & bacon toasties for luncheon and listen to the Italian GP.

I am just having a nice :cuppa: whilst watching a bit of rugby, and I might go out in a bit for a brief bicycular bimble to try and help the creakiness.

No idea if my phone got the alert, as it's still in the bottom of my bag after yesterday.
