Grass eventually got cut.. Possibly the last time this year unless it puts a spurt on during September.

The weather forecast lied. It looked good on the forecast for this morning but we got wind and rain.

I thought I had found a gap in the showers and went out for about 25 miles on the single speed. I got somewhat wet!

Now out for my Sunday evening music fix and typically it has now stopped raining and the sun is shining.

My pic at the very end of the eclipse.. Moon was behind the trees until then.

I managed the whole Grand Prix without a snooze - mainly due to the incessant beeping of the washing machine on completing the wash and then needing to get the clothing out on the whirlygig to dry. That's not to say I didn't loose 45 minutes later on in the afternoon to a deep study of the inside of my eyelids.

No alerts here as I switched them off before the previous test as the Government's idea of an emergency (strong wind, a bit of rain, etc) is much different to mine (running out of coffee, beer not being properly chilled)

The evening has been mostly spent watching the WEC powerboat safety car train from Texas (it's somewhat wet over there).

Had a lovely bicycular bimble earlier in the company of Rocky the Hardtail. He's a bit staid on tarmac compared to Max the MTB, but really good fun on gravel. I also stopped to forage some apples in a railway sidings.

Comfortingly stodgy supper of roasted red pepper, tomato & red lentil soup, then spaezele with meatloaf and an onion & mustard cream sauce. And a :cuppa: of course.

Too cloudy here to see anything of the eclipse.

Mine is growing furiously in the back garden as it retains water more, and I fed all the lawns a few weeks ago just as the weather changed a bit (i.e. rain). The front doesn't grow well in dry conditions as it's very free draining (builders rubble). We know this as we dug out all the rubble from the rear garden before laying a lawn over 30 years ago.
