It's been a warm but very grey and very soggy day here chez Casa Reynard.
Slept well, but still not feeling particularly bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. But I had a busy morning skinning and chopping a mountain of tomatoes to turn into sauce.
This afternoon's main task was having a look at that damn service valve again. I've managed to undo both of the nuts, but I can't unship the valve from the pipe. Either I'm not going about it the right way, or the thing is stuck somehow. It rotates from side to side though, but TBH, I'm a bit stumped.
I've also done a load of writing - not on my novel, but on a different project relating to apple varieties. Not much listening to the cricket was done, given that England absolutely hammered South Africa, and the game was done and dusted before I even had time to put the radio on.
A quiet evening is planned. Most likely involving catching up on the action from the Goodwood Revival. I will be picking things up at the conclusion of the Whitsun Trophy.
