Today's 72 plate truck has 574491 kilometres on the odometer and has taken me to Melton Mowbray and Loughborough.

Morning.
It has brightened up here but it still looks windy.
Georgie was in a funny mood last night. He came in wet and jumped up on the chair I was sitting in to wash himself dry. He then sort of asked if he could sit on my legs which I let him do and gave him some ear rubs. He then jumped down and went back outside again. He came back in later and did the same thing but this time he decided to sleep on my legs. He couldn't sleep so decided to bite my feet. I couldn't stand that so off he went again to come back in just before bedtime. I was woken up by him at 1.45 wanting to sleep on my feet but then decided he wanted to go out.

We’re only getting the mild end of the storm here, gusts peaked at 62mph last night. It has dropped to merely being windy this morning but it’s due to increase again this afternoon, not to yesterday’s levels though. We were supposed to be travelling up the A9 today but from social media our destination seems to be beset with power cuts and fallen trees so we will be delaying that.

Another belated good morning from Suffolk - blame a nice warm duvet, the radio and coffee. A mostly sunny start to the day but with a very strong breeze and even stronger gusts putting a lot of movement into the branches of the trees on the other side of the rail line.

A load of cycle clothing is currently in the wash and, with this breeze, will probably dry quite quickly on the whirlygig - if the pegs will hold the clothing on there that is! Other than that, all that needs to be done is shopping for milk and today's food and I'll probably do that on foot as I don't fancy my chances of staying upright on the bike given the strength of the wind gusts.
