So MacDonalds latest sales pitch is 'It's not burger, it's a sausage sandwich'.
But the advert clearly shows a round meat patty, as the Americans tend to term them rather than 'burger', enclosed in a brioche roll with a square of processed cheese.
So, am I missing something, or have the advertising bunnies at McD simply assumed that the public are that gullible as to believe a complete contradiction in terminology - ?

When I was an apprentice at Kirkstall Forge in Leeds in 1970.From the works canteen the sausage sandwich came as a round flat patty thing which I guess was easier to stick a fried egg on, if you went for sausage, egg and tomato. Also I guess it was for ease of production as there was 1500 employees

A thoroughly miserable, wet and dark day - despite having west & south facing windows in the kitchen, I still needed the lights on while cooking tea at around quarter past five this afternoon. Thankfully the postman gave me something to do this afternoon by delivering the Android Auto adaptor which I spent an hour playing with to see what it did and to get it set up for the rare occasions I'm likely to use it.

Once I've had a hot chocolate, I think a beer or two before bedtime will be allowed as a treat.

holy smokes! went to a David Byrne concert last night! was afraid the old theater would collapse!
Very envious - I had a look at the ticket prices when I found out he was over here to promote the new album, but just couldn't justify the price (currently £275 for Manchester with Ticketmaster being the sole outlet)
