A beer has just been poured after the effort of moving the recycling bin to the front of the house ready for emptying in the morning.

This evening has been mostly spent checking and memorising the walking route for train station to hotel and hotel to venue for Tuesday's away day as I'm using a hotel new to me.

It's been a mostly grey and mildish day here chez Casa Reynard, after a fairly chilly start.

Slept well enough. Given the weather forecast for the upcoming week, I decided to spend as much of the day as I could in the garden, lumberjilling and hauling in firewood - it's got t that time of year where you have to take advantage of the good days weatherwise. The morning was spent hauling in and cutting up downed branches.

Lovely luncheon of smoked salmon on toast, an apple, a banana and a :cuppa:

Then straight back out to where I was working on a pile of smashed up conifer wood that came down in a storm a couple of years ago. All the green stuff has rotted off, and the wood is nice and dry, so I've been cutting that up and hauling it in.

Sat and listened to the F1 from Brazil.

A tasty supper of soup, then toast, avocado, roasted tomatoes and a fried egg.

A quiet evening is planned.
