Can peeps remember a cartoon which was shown at Christmas many years ago? It was about a racing cyclist and a dog. I think it was a French cartoon.

"ai" says:

The cartoon you are likely thinking of is the acclaimed French animated film The Triplets of Belleville (French title: Les Triplettes de Belleville).
While not specifically a Christmas film, it has become well-known and was often shown on television during the holidays in various countries. The story prominently features an elderly woman, Madame Souza, and her loyal, slightly overweight dog named Bruno, who embark on a journey to rescue her grandson, Champion, a professional cyclist kidnapped during the Tour de France.
Key details that match your description:
  • French Origin: It is a French-Belgian-Canadian-British co-production directed by Sylvain Chomet.
  • Racing Cyclist: The plot revolves around Champion's cycling career and kidnapping during a major race.
  • A Dog: The dog, Bruno, is a major character who is instrumental in the rescue efforts.
  • Vintage Feel: It was released in 2003, but features a distinctive, old-fashioned, minimal-dialogue animation style that might make it seem older.
The film's unique style and touching story of perseverance have made it a classic, often airing during holiday seasons.

I'm eating an old donut.
I don't like it.
I'm guessing I'll finish it.

From my lecture earlier covering digital marketing and social media:

CC is none of those, rather it's a Social Media Network. That's a different thing entirely, with similarities to Reddit. But CC is not about donuts/doughnuts. Although the US donut is far inferior imho to the British doughnut because the British one has the filling in the middle rather than a hole plus sugary/sticky icing.

I spoke to a Consultant last Friday. Not sure if it good news or bad news or both.

I get so tired/lacking in energy/drowsy that he and I discussed lowering the dosage of the very strong Chemo tablets I take, and that will be from next week. Sometime later this month. I will have a scan. The last one was August. Then after three months, another scan should show if the lower dose is effective.

Blood test is tomorrow, then jabs etc on Wednesday, followed by Covid on Thursday. Virtual hugs and/or biskits by trebuchet are welcome.

Tedious early afternoon meeting in Ripon meant a stupidly early lunch. Matters improved thereafter despite it starting to rain. Called into the Aldi there for a bag of oranges only to find the storage boxes absent in the local one in stock. Bought two small ones and they fit the kitchen cupboard perfectly.

Hi Speicher
Hang in there and good luck. I was on capecitabine chemo tablets for 3 months last year and they just wore me down, such that the cumulative effect just made me more lethargic and no energy. The mental challenge of taking about 800 tablets in 3 months was also a strain.
I am currently on session 10 of 12 of IV and pump chemo now so also due scans in a couple of weeks to see how things are and the oncologists next plan.
I am getting used to living life in 3 month blocks between scan results and it certainly isnt a quick fix.

Didn't intend to do any shopping this evening until I saw the forecast for tomorrow evening. Asda had just one freefrom loaf suitable for toasting.
Never managed to make one that toasts, just burns around the edge. Waitrose had hake in and all £2 worth of app vouchers were used. Bought their Christmas iced fruit cake bar as the only other one I have seen was a £1 dearer in M&S.
