Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Funeral held, father-in-law buried, in an unusual style service facilitated by SWMBO and supported by a retired minister friend in a borrowed chapel rather than the local Catholic church.

We did what he wanted her to do for him, which definitely wasn't in the traditional Irish funeral book, but it went well. Think non-alcoholic story-telling Irish wake with a bit of music and a burial on the hillside and you'll have a decent approximation.

I can see her doing more of these.

Came back from London.
Had an idea for a while to go there to a specific shop to buy some Lithuanian food.
That shop is in Stratford shopping centre.
Maaaan .... I really hated the fact that teleportation hasn't been invented yet. All the people, crowds, more people, people everywhere. And that's Monday.
Oh and I got lost. In a shopping centre. Sigh.
Eventually after going in circles and other geometrical figures I somehow managed to go to the right direction.
Found that shop.
Now lying on my bed with belly full of Lithuanian food (herring fillet with beetroots and beetroot salad). Fridge full of other foods.
Conclusion: local Polish shop next time. All the next times.

Well I'm sick my deck!
Was left unsupervised and decided to get on with it.
Had to do the school carol service rehearsal first.
Then back for the real thing tomorrow.
The staff look knackered, lots of sickness and absence.

All this meant that I didn't get started until about noon.
But being on my own, suits me, I worked through. The foundations are in, the noggins installed and the membrane laid.
Final step is installing the decking boards. That should be sort of automatic. Does assume I got the measurements right and the frame is as level as I think it is.

Also I have to spend the rest of the week "down west".
To be continued

The greaseproof baking paper trick also works well with sandwich toasters, a hot cheese one being a definite must for a chilly lunch. Downside is does need them being toasted for a lot longer. Slowly putting up the christnas decorations.
