We have lost the sunshine and gained a bit of a breeze.

The shopping has been done and hopefully any time I go out between now and Monday will be purely for pleasure. Coffee and a slice of toast have been had for lunch and the plan for the rest of the afternoon is to put my feet up for half an hour to catch up with the news and then go out for an hour or so of fresh air.

found the back cover but a clip was broken. we happened to have an extra so that went on. the warning lights work but had to pick out some broken plastic & apply some clear shipping tape
new right side mirror cover smaller.jpg

was able to press the heated mirror glass back on & it moves but needs to be replaced
shattered mirror pressed back on smaller.jpg

need to double check all movement, up/down, left/right before deciding what to order. hoping it's just the glass part

As I'm feeling more human today I've had a productive day first a steady walk into town for a few bits of shopping. Just back from a post dinner walk to M&S few extra Christmas treats as I'm not baking this year or doing a lot of cooking. lucky it's out of town but walkable be it a long but steady hill back. So time for rest and:cuppa: before taking the Dyson for a walk round the floor.

Just seen article about cooking Christmas dinner in an air fryer. Along with what you can it helpfully included what not to. Turns out cooking gravy in an air fryer is not a good idea, If anyone is thick enough to try it I think they better eat out for dinner.

I'll do Roasties in air fryer; that's probably all. 👍

It's been a grey and occasionally drizzly day here chez Casa Reynard after a rather murky start.

Slept well, but woke up earlier than I'd have liked. Ah well, hey ho. Leg is still continuing to improve. OK, it still feels the same (a bit sore), but I'm now walking normally according to the parental unit. I'll take the little wins, considering that this time last week I had an inch wide and nearly inch deep hole in my shin. Had a morning doing the chores, slowly and steadily. That included hunting around in the freezer for something for tonight's supper and re-jigging the contents. I now have a completely empty drawer! :wahhey:

Lovely luncheon of crusty bloomer, wensleydale with apricots, a pear and a :cuppa:

After, went into the garden to cut some seasonal greenery to make a door wreath tomorrow - I had *just* enough holly with berries left on. It're the squirrels that are the culprits here rather than the birds - mainly down to two mature walnut trees being cut down in a nearby garden. Also topped up the wood bins.

Then it was a trip to Littleport to the two pharmacies to see if I could get some alternative dressings for my leg. The little independent one turned up trumps, and I bought a small supply at 30p each.

Christmas has been brought down from the loft, and I'm sitting by the fire with a nice :cuppa:
