Good morning from a chilly, breezy and only occasionally sunny Suffolk. It looks to be damp underfoot but no longer slippery.

Coffee has been had after quite a good night's sleep and there's a load of washing being dealt with by the machine. Food shopping for the next few days is to be done later and, with the improvement in the weather, a bike may be called into use.

Four rashers of quality bacon have been removed from the freezer to go with the rolls on the shopping list as a treat for tea this evening.

It's a mystery, it's a mystery.Boiler is loosing pressure,we had it checked before Christmas,it is serviced each year.So the man has been and John is superb, well he has done a water test and has now put an inhibitor fluid in,let's see if that works, because nothing is leaking, that we/he can see.Mundane news over.

The December bank statements are finally on line and available to download. As the weather forecast for later in the week is looking decidedly grotty, I think some time will be put aside to do the full 2025 electronic file back-up of the computer. Two back-ups are made, one to an external hard drive kept in the house and the other to a couple of high capacity USB drives which are stored elsewhere.

Gosh, it's slippery out there! It's a curious mixture of frost and moisture that merely looks damp but is the pavement walker's equivalent of black ice. A couple of times I went all Paul Simon and found myself slip sliding away. Though I did manage to reach my destination.

My advice is rest when you need to and do what you can when you can. Use your energy to do things thats make you feel good, brain fog i've found is best fixed by getting some fresh air and enjoying the moment.

That is my usual strategy. I do the tedious domestic tasks in the morning, and more pleasant tasks in the afternoon.

I enjoy working in the garden, but near-freezing temperatures make that impossible. By the end of this month, there will be more daylight, and possibly it will be warmer.

There are questions and complications about further tests they want me to do,
Fortunately there is an excellent team (of two) Cancer nurses dedicated to patients' questions and concerns. I will be speaking, I hope, to one of those this afternoon.

As well as all the tragedies and disasters all around the world, there have been two suicides close to where I live. One of my neighbours died just after Christmas.
Then there is the threat of, as I see it, world war three.

Gland youve found the specialist nurses helpful. Rembember no question is ever silly they’ve heard it all before. They can help with anything even small things. If they don’t know they have ways of finding out. Mrs 73 loved working as one. Sadly so many are loosing funding or are not used enough.
I’ve a good one too. Mrs 73 knows her well too as they both worked together as staff nurses.
