Cold feeling day, upped the CH twice during this afternoons WAH, 17 to 18 then 18 to 19.

Tedious at times with the stupid program running very very slowly. Found one way to get it work was to look at my own mobile.

That did however alert to me to an article on how to tweak a LG TV so as soon as WAH abandoned the TV duly tweaked and it now does begin as a TV channel and not a "Home" screen.

I'm currently marking postgraduate student assignments. Some have been really good, some mediocre and a few poor but less than I'd feared although a few are still to submit. These have been a decent bunch and I've enjoyed the sessions with them.

However, the one I've just marked appears to be 100% AI written. Either that, with the metadata showing a potential 'ghost' author, if they paid for it they need a refund!

It's atrocious. Badly written, nonsensical, not answering the task set - which is designed to fool gen-AI systems - and scored a hugely optimistic 12%. And that's me being generous.

Given the number of bikes you have, I'd have thought puncture patching was a breeze !

Putting tubes in is fine. I lack the dexterity needed to patch them, probably because I've an incredibly low boredom threshold.

My experience, can't say where, what or how says that magnesium burns spectacularly! An entire development lab reduced to smoking metal. A side issue meant it became a contaminated site. The clean up cost a lot, lot and blew the yellow jacket and clipboard budget

Are new inner tubes that expensive? Unless you want the near weightless ones made of fairies winks and held together by butterfly kisses?

Hmm ... sounds interesting

And no, they're not expensive. I've got some really cheap ones somewhere in the parts shed. But it's a trek outside to get to it. And it's cold in there.

Just back five of us from the Sheesh Mahal restaurant. Our son's 30th birthday meal,it was superb as always, now watching a brilliant Wrexham v Forest cup tie.

It's been a dark, dank freezing cold and, hosey-with-rain kind of day here chez Casa Reynard.

Sleep was a bit meh. Dozed off in front of the laptop last night. Woke up and went to bed, and then it took me a bloody age to nod off again. Overslept some, but still feel meh. The usual choresy morning was had, doing things quickly to limit the amount of time spent outside in the hissing rain.

Lovely luncheon of a crusty roll, some fancy cheese, some pate, a pear, a banana and a :cuppa:

Had a quiet afternoon. Well, as quiet as peeling and de-stoning a mountain of mangoes can be. I have 5lbs of mango to turn into chutney. Was going to divert a few fruit to a friend, but they're not up to snuff. So I'll pop two into the fruit bowl, and the remaining pair will be turned into an apple & mango crumble.

Re-did the dressing on my shin. A visible improvement since Tuesday, and the wound is holding together, even without the stitches.

Lovely supper of the last of the cullen skink, a crusty roll filled with pickled herring, and a warm Min Spy with cream.

Now sat here listening to the FA Cup football on the radio.

Some Douglas DC-3s (Dakotas) in the war were made of magnesium, which is why Ricky Nelson's plane caught fire. South Wind gasoline heaters and magnesium do not play well together. Very tragic.
