Time to unleash the Moribund!
More devastating than nuclear weapons he will put solar panels on anywhere that is green! Just like Trump's golf course!

Flick of the Elbow

Outside Edinburgh
It has been a most pleasant spring day. Took the bus to Ratho then walked the 9 miles home via the canal, Heriot Watt, and the Water of Leith. Very pleasant indeed.

As best murky at worst foggy. Office meeting this pm. Laptop worked fine. Back at home kept on locking. Eventually on the phone to IT they decided it needed a new password but it still locked up before eventually working.

It's been a mild and mostly grey day here chez Casa Reynard, though we did have a little bit of sun peeking through the murk.

Slept well. Actually, fell asleep while watching the Sumo, and woke up at 4:15 in the morning. Mind, I was in bed at the time, so just turned the laptop off and turned over in bed LOL! Had the usual choresy morning before taking the parental to a routine quack appointment at lunch time.

Ergo luncheon was delayed till well gone three. Had a chunk of melton mowbray pork pie, and some sourdough bread with brie and marmalade (not at the same time), plus an apple, a tangerine and a :cuppa:

A quiet afternoon was had. Slapped a waterproof dressing on my leg and *finally* had a proper bath for the first time since I impaled myself on that damned elderberry branch. Oh my days, that was bloody bliss. Scented bubbles, nice soap, steaming hot water... Aaaah!

Re-dressed my leg after. It's healing very nicely, just one teensy weensy bit that's still a little bit dodgy. A massive improvement from Friday. Didn't use the supplied moisturising patches as they're A6 sized and all I need is a little bit a couple of inches square. Slapped on a layer of sudocrem instead, and a mepore dressing on top of that.

And now it's time to feed the cat and then it will be time to feed me.

A Melton Mowbray pork pie with a bit of Stilton compliments each other perfectly. :hungry:

£60 cashback turned up from an Autumn purchase in the form of a M&S voucher. Already having a c.£44 one from Topcashback thats a lot of free bananas, iced buns and Cumberland pies!
New bread slicer guide works well, actually maybe too thin. Has 6 different settings; will try on the next one next time.
Last of the free Blackcurrant conserve used up in rice pudding, and a bottle of lemon juice at its use by date used to produce a nice smelling kitchen sink drain.

A grey and not warm afternoon in Norfolk, but an enjoyable ride none the less. Very little traffic also helped. Only problem is that the bike now needs cleaning thanks to more than a few muddy roads and, unlike my trousers that are now also muddy, it can't just be chucked in the washing machine.

Lunch with a coupe of drinks to wash things down and then the train home, the first thing being done once back was making a large coffee and scoffing a sticky bun saved from yesterday's shop.
