Another dull day with rain threatening this afternoon. Late morning recycling trek to B&Q and Aldi to dispose of 2 sets of headphones and plastic bags
Aside from the headphones the cable had snapped somewhere on, I found an older wireless pair with a huge mains powered transmitter and one missing ear muff.
Long way back so observed the prices of the expensive stuff, petrol 5p cheaper at Tesco than Shell and diesel a huge 15p cheaper as well.

Well the NHS excelled this morning, had a phone call earlier in the week offering a Sunday am appointment so accepted it, got a text on Friday evening saying that the Saturday appointment was cancelled, so thought best still go this morning just in case , went to book in and got told you are not on the list for today and nothing on the system for you .....
Unit sister was summoned to come and explain, couldn't apologise enough but couldn't offer anything as no notes on the system to work with best she could offer is to speak to someone else tomorrow morning and come back with an appointment.
When the NHS works it's great but when it doesn't it's not funny.

Same here I’ve had a message this morning reminding me of my appointment tomorrow. Good job they sent it as it’s the 1st I’ve known about it.
My local hospital stuff like this just works which ever dept it is. The big teaching hospital is a total mess. Some use the online system some don’t. some use self check in some don’t.

My local hospital has made 3 appointments for me in the last week and has managed to cancel 4. My big hospital, St Thomas, are hosting me tomorrow (7am!) and haven't actually messed me around. Fingers crossed.

A rough couple of days here chez Casa Reynard, since as of yesterday, we are down to one human and one cat.
Have replaced one lot of stress for another, but my friend Linda, who I go walking with, and to cat shows with, has been an absolute star. Now I need to find out who I am, now that I'm no longer a carer.
Just have to take things one step at a time. Having a bit of a self-care day here today.
