It's been a bright and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, albeit with a fairly chilly northerly breeze.
Did not sleep well - the joys of the old too hot, too cold. Hey ho. Went downstairs, fed the cat and took a

back upstairs to do some writing.
Back down at more decent hour. Did the basic chores, and then have had a quiet day watching the seniors snooker (Ronnie O;Sullivan was playing, so how could i not?) and the action from the North West 200, where I was keeping tabs on Peter Hickman and Storm Stacey.
A lovely luncheon of a sausage sandwich, a cereal bar, a packet of crisps and a pot of tea.
The afternoon was more of the above. I also swapped out the bracelet on a watch for a leather strap. I love the watch, but hate the bracelet as it didn't fit well and had a habit of pinching my arm hairs.
But once the NW200 had wrapped up, I took myself off on a bicycular bimble in the company of Rocky the hardtail. Decided to do one of my favourite off road trails that goes between the end of my road and the next village along. A bit of a mistake, as it has suffered very badly over the winter. Some of the tractor tyre ruts are over a foot deep, and there's big holes that are even deeper - could fit me AND my bike inside. It was hard picking a safe route, and I was just coming to a stop so could walk through the worst section when I slid out. I think I caught a pedal on the edge of a rut and *SPLOOT*
The bike is fine. I landed mostly on my botty, but have skinned my knee and elbow. Nothing some sudocrem and a hot bath can't solve. I dusted myself off and carried on, but the return leg of the loop was done on the road to save me from any more embarrassment. Still, a very enjoyable ride nonetheless.
Lovely supper of the pasta sauce with a heap of wholegrain cous cous.
Back to watching the snooker and am about to make myself another
