So i am in my normal position.Chair with chromebook on my knee. This thing is beautiful, but it is too big for knee scrolling i would also have black lettering on grey keyboard not white. It will take some getting used to,But the larger keyboard is much better for sausage fingers here.

The hoped for 1/2 hour snooze became just 20 minutes this afternoon, but was welcome nonetheless.

I did have thoughts of going to Snetterton on Sunday as there's an entertaining & busy race day on, but having seen the latest weather forecast (basically chilly and with a stiff northerly breeze) I'll be staying at home in the warm and will watch the live stream on Youtube. There's also the BTCC from Brands Hatch on ITV4 to keep me occupied.

Time for the evening's hot chocolate.

It's been a bright and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, albeit with a fairly chilly northerly breeze.

Did not sleep well - the joys of the old too hot, too cold. Hey ho. Went downstairs, fed the cat and took a :cuppa: back upstairs to do some writing.

Back down at more decent hour. Did the basic chores, and then have had a quiet day watching the seniors snooker (Ronnie O;Sullivan was playing, so how could i not?) and the action from the North West 200, where I was keeping tabs on Peter Hickman and Storm Stacey.

A lovely luncheon of a sausage sandwich, a cereal bar, a packet of crisps and a pot of tea.

The afternoon was more of the above. I also swapped out the bracelet on a watch for a leather strap. I love the watch, but hate the bracelet as it didn't fit well and had a habit of pinching my arm hairs.

But once the NW200 had wrapped up, I took myself off on a bicycular bimble in the company of Rocky the hardtail. Decided to do one of my favourite off road trails that goes between the end of my road and the next village along. A bit of a mistake, as it has suffered very badly over the winter. Some of the tractor tyre ruts are over a foot deep, and there's big holes that are even deeper - could fit me AND my bike inside. It was hard picking a safe route, and I was just coming to a stop so could walk through the worst section when I slid out. I think I caught a pedal on the edge of a rut and *SPLOOT*

The bike is fine. I landed mostly on my botty, but have skinned my knee and elbow. Nothing some sudocrem and a hot bath can't solve. I dusted myself off and carried on, but the return leg of the loop was done on the road to save me from any more embarrassment. Still, a very enjoyable ride nonetheless.

Lovely supper of the pasta sauce with a heap of wholegrain cous cous.

Back to watching the snooker and am about to make myself another :cuppa:

That's what happens when you don't listen, the other problem is we have analogue politicians in a digital age.

Seemingly a lack of critical thinking, too.

And the same electorate will then be up in arms when their choice inevitably comes back to bite them in the bum. Reform's record in local politics is, well, not very good. They're good at saying, but at doing? Not so much.

My thoughts as well. After a year of local chaos suspect there will be somewhat of a change in next years elections.

That was a very nice orange.

And the May (Tokyo) basho starts this evening. Two weeks of late night Sumo. There's worse ways of passing the time. Sadly my favourite rikishi is out injured, so will have to find someone else to root for.

Well today we went the other way. Towards Hastings.
I've been to Hastings. A while ago we did a Century out of the football ground. Vague recollection of leaving the ground and promptly turning right up the side of a mountain.
The plan today was Rye to Hastings, lunch and then the train back
Management had not got that message. I find myself in a (the) pub in Fairlight and lunch is being discussed, inconclusively.
I had a pint and said i was expecting to lunch in Hastings.
That, it emerged, was not our plan. Cycled back to Rye against the wind and in almost total silence.
Weather was nice, most of the route was quiet. Shouldn't grumble.
