Me neither. People would try and tell me that I should appreciate it because "School days are the happiest days of your life, you know" to which I'd say "You mean it gets worse after this?"

This upset people.

Yes I was told that at School, so I went, waiting for the best days of my life.

... They never happened.

Cold sliced chicken, fried potatoes and steamed mixed veg for supper this evening. Oh, and a bowl of soup.

The girls had chicken for their supper too. They are both now sleeping it off LOL

I went to school can't say I greatly enjoyed it much

Neither me. I enjoyed (mostly) the learning, but the people (staff and classmates) were execrable.

Traditional and conservative girls' schools should not try and force square pegs into round holes. Nor should staff pander to the bullies because their parents are wealthy and famous.

I really didn't like school.

I liked metalwork and woodwork and not much else at school.

In particular, I hated PE, the domain of sadistic teachers and as someone with zero interest in team sports like football, a prime target for bullying.

I was always left back for the team defending the goal nearest the river, for some reason ends were never changed probably because their was never half time, as the pitch sloped downwards at that corner and invariably the land immediately beyond was well below water level so being the tallest I spent most of the time wading through the water to get the ball back. Probably should have worn swimming trunks rather than football shorts!

I was wondering where Georgie was as I hadn't seen him all day . I went upstairs to look in our bedrooms to see if he was there . He wasn't.
I asked my wife if I had been out to the garage today as I couldn't remember . I went out to the garage just to check . There he was ! Sat on some cardboard quite happy even though he hadn't eaten since this morning .

Just met Leo, the Greyhound in his 'wheelchair' again.

The owner was buying some mince for him.

I'll have to get a photo next time.

I went to see Moon Bunny at her place of work today
She was inspecting a stuffed dog for moths.

Good job I managed to finally get into my mailer and check my e-mails. Top one was "rate your delivery"

Went outside to look, and the sack of cat litter was left outside my front door. Courier must've come while we were eating supper. Box is a soggy mess (it's snowing) but the litter comes in a plastic sack.

I'm still waiting on the eight boxes of Gourmet Gold pate & melting heart cans. That's been delayed.
