I do that as a matter of course if I have to drop the car off at the garage in the village. I think I'm the only customer that does it, much to the amusement of the mechanics, but it's so much easier than either a) walking home or b) cadging a lift

It makes a lot of sense really. Considering the weather, I think the people at the garage thought I has taken leave of my senses.

Same here. Had 8 so far, still have 4. Nutters the lot. Although, Leo the short haired ginger isn't going out - way to cold, it's mainly the two white Yetis, not the grey Yeti (Ragdolls for those that don't know). The white ones have some extra bonkers genes. Been out 3 or 4 times in the last hour.

Guess I'm lucky that Poppy doesn't go out much at all except during the summer. Lexi will go out, but she's not even asked to, these last couple of days. Mind, they're both getting on a bit now - if they want to go out they'll ask, but if they prefer to snooze in a warm spot (as is currently the case) then that's fine too.

Ours have a run, rather than out out ! It's fairly extensive though, so they get some room to explore. The down side in winter is we've got to either open the conservatry door or window every 5 minutes when Simba decides the weather needs inspecting again. Comes in 5 minutes later, then wants out 2 minutes after that. Not an issue in summer, but we've got to get up and down to let him in/out.

Here it's out out. Although the girls have a similar concierge service given I've no cat flap.

Cake day pressie to self acquired.

Miffed on having missed out on that gorgeous Zenith the other night, but I've picked up a nice 1971 stainless steel Seiko hand winder with an uncommon 1104 movement instead, along with a 1960s gold plated cushion-case Zitura automatic that has a small second rather than a sweep. The Zitura should have an A Schild movement of some kind, I do believe.

I'd actually been eyeing up both of these for a little while as I just really liked them. That late 60s / early 70s style just seems to hit the right note for me - not boring, but not bonkers. Best bit, including the postage, the two set me back the equivalent of tea & cake for one and a takeaway pizza for the other. Although the Seiko may need a service, but we shall see...
