Another nice sunny day but a NE wind which keeps the outside temp down a bit. A windproof layer is needed outside.
The sheep have appeared back in the field opposite with lambs this time. We have a few hobby sheepkeepers here who own no land and the sheep get moved around various "spare " bits nobody lays claim to.
The field was occupied for years by one such but health problems forced him to give up. His name was one of the common combinations mentioned in another thread but he was commonly known as Peerie.
Got a medical appointment this morning where I have been summoned to meet a GP to have a chat [his words] about my recent bloods and perhaps the recent biopsy.

After a bit of ferreting around the vessel I saw does not seem to be the MV Alfred which is reported as being somewhere around the Pentland Firth. Size and colour was similar and definitely a catamaran but the bridge looked a bit different tho' that could be down to the angle it was seen from.
No doubt there will be comments on FB later.

Get the impression that you'd never find the brewery on a night out organised by CalMac.
Confess I've only ever used my own boat in that part of the world. So a totally uninformed opinion. Like most of mine.

A warm & sunny start to the day including a stroll through the city centre and a large cooked breakfast 🍽️

Not too far outside Peterborough on the train home, but I think I could be in for a long wait at Ely as we got delayed at a rogue red light
If so a 'delay repay' claim will be going in for this return leg.

It was nearly 2 miles away and viewed through binocs. Large red and white catamaran supposed to be about to start working for Calmac.
In fact it has had I think to go back to Orkney for a couple of weeks due to Pentalina having certification problems.

Forgot it was Music Festival weekend and the main car park is already wall to wall motorhomes with one or two caravans. Two of the larger ones consider 4 disabled spaces as being provided for large vehicles as no blue badges are to be seen. I did mention to one of them that it would be better if it was displayed. “ forgot to bring it “ was the answer which really means they do not have one but consider themselves to be above the regulations or even a semblance of good manners.
When we had a shop we called this event “ shoplifters convention” and one person was always on watch duty.

A sunny, breezy and (out of the wind) surprisingly warm day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well. Spent the morning sorting out some correspondence and laundering some items that can't go in a main wash. They are currently hanging outside, and will be dry pretty quickly.

The plan is to carry on cutting the grass this afternoon for as long as I have fuel in the mower. Looking at the forecast, I'm not going to get the chance to do any more until the tail end of next week. So I shall leave picking up a couple of cans of fuel until next week until I go and fill up the car in advance of my judging engagement in Luton.

It is almost time for luncheon.

Oh well, it looks like I'm going to be stuck at Ely for a couple of hours as my connecting train is ahead of the one I'm on. Unless @Reynard does food deliveries (platform 2 please😁), I may go for another stroll to kill some time.

Are you still there? How does a packup of a Polish sausage sandwich, an orange, some raspberries and a packet of crisps sound?
