Started dull and overcast tho' forecast is not for rain.
Sun has just appeared so may get out for a run on trike today. Not been out for some time partly due to weather and other appointments but mainly my damaged back making handling in and out of the car painful.
My usual route probably has roadworks so may have to try elsewhere with hopefully not too much traffic.
The transition to the new ticketing system on Calmac seems to have calmed down but yesterday was a bit fraught apparently.
One girl at Craignure was presented with a bunch of flowers by an islander and as she put it had a full on meltdown in public.
I do not look forward to my next attempt at booking tho' which still some time away.

Good morning all from a dull & overcast Suffolk - the radar is showing that it's raining, but it isn't. At some point this morning I need to get out and get the supplies for the weekend as I'm at Snetterton (again) for the BTCC which is having its annual visit a couple of months earlier than last year. What happens this afternoon will be decided once I get back and have another cuppa.

At our Men's Shed Archery Taster yesterday we had a bit of a competition . I won a silver medal !
Mrs 73 uncle was big on Archery and using English long bows. He went on to hand make traditional English longbows Inc painting the bow by hand to what ever picture or patten they wanted. I remember one he was doing when I visited he'd done it to look like a lion with the face being in the handle part. Real skill and craftsmanship he ended up with orders all over the world. The time and materials needed meant he never made a lot from them.

Well our Venga passed its MOT with 2 adversaries.
I went to see the road at Lyneham Banks. A landslide had blocked the road so I cycled along to have a look at it . It is no more! The hill has slumped and taken a whole section of the road with it . Pictures have shown the road twisted a bit like the suspension bridge which destroyed itself frozen in time . The road is missing apart from a few sections of tarmac not where they should be . I was amazed by the cross section of the tarmac layers going down 6 feet! I know the area was prone to land slips but to see that depth of tarmac!
I waited in that area as it was nice and peaceful with birds singing away . I saw a male Bullfinch! I haven't seen one for years .
