Nice day forecast so must get out on the trike.

Calmac were sending out texts last evening that both our ferries were tasked to assist with a marine emergency. No idea what this was as the information has not yet filtered down to my level. One was later let off to continue service and the last sailing had to be cancelled for crew rest.
No doubt a certain section of the media will be frantically searching for a disgruntled passenger. The last time this happened I was waiting on the ferry and nobody seemed to be complaining tho' that did not stop the said media outlet looking for complaints.

The Tiree music festival was cancelled at the last minute and the ferry could not dock anyway due to the weather conditions with a lot of music festival people on board who were returned to Oban very late after all public transport had stopped.
Calmac opened the ferry terminal and got a local hotel to provide duvets and pillows for over 100 stranded passengers. Staff were on hand all night to give any assistance. No idea if food was provided.

Just had an argument with another dog walker who couldn't be bothered to keep their mongrel on a lead around others and which went for my sweet gentle Bruce. Told the owner that if his dog ever goes for mine again I'll put my boot in its ear, which didn't go down well but he was too cowardly to make a big deal of it.

I'm effing fuming. Let's gone no one crosses me in the next hour or so until I've calmed down.

Good morning from a cloudy but warm Suffolk. Still no proper rain apart from a very brief heavy shower late last night. As much as I'd like to have a day sat in front of the TV watching various motor sports, I need to head up to Ipswich to pick something up for my nephew's birthday. After breakfast and another coffee obviously.

I can't abide out of control dogs! It's poor pet ownership, not necessarily the animals fault.

Bonnie the Bichon is too flighty to be off the lead if there is anyone/thing nearby so I keep her on it.
Common sense, really, but that can oft be in short supply.

Morning .
I was saying to my wife the other day that there weren't many Bees on our lavender. I thought that it might have been due to the lavender not smelling at the time but she said that her runner bean flowers have just dropped off due to the lack of insects . I'll have a look on the front of my Jag to see how many I've splattered.

On your Jag u ar going to see lots of them.

Yikes, ebikes back wheel spun out on some storm washed down mud on a cycle path en route to Asda. Sort of put me off using the road bike today if, with its weight. the ebike did that.

Weather forecast keeps on changing as well, was definitely dry to 5 now 1 with thunder again following so looks like a lazy afternoon again watching TdF.

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
@Drago - we've a neighbour who squeezes three greyhounds into a small house. They occasionally get out and last time one chased and caught son no. 1's small cat.

The cat fought back whilst being chewed, then I intervened.

The owner was more bothered about their greyhound's deep scratches, bite marks and other injuries than controlling their animal.
