Mr and Mrs Postman are waiting for the fog to lift.Yes fog. Then a ride over to Harlow Carr Gardens Harrogate,a tootle in the mist no doubt then lunch in Bettys. How posh and romantic is that.I am just going to renail me old clogs got to look smart for Bettys,I might even get me best muffler and cap out.Or better still have a word with Accy about what is acceptable for a Gentleman having lunch in Bettys.
I was brave and put my washing out on the line.
Apparently today is something called St. Valentine's day.
Just over a year ago now.I was out driving again today. Can you tell me if the Highway code has been rewritten recently and do I need to get a new copy?
This is a very quiet market town, and the High Street and lots of other nearby streets have signs with "20" on it in very large numbers and outlined in red.
Am I mistaken in thinking that the number refers to speed of traffic?
Is that the maximum speed, like wot I thought, or is it the minimum speed?
Furthermore, if a pedestrian is approaching a zebra crossing (no traffic lights) do they need to look both ways before stepping onto the road, or just in the direction of traffic approaching on the side of the road nearest to them?
Within five mins we had blue sky and sunshine, then more fog near Harrogate, then blue sky and a bit of sunshine all the visit, also fog in and around York another visitor told us.Quite foggy everywhere but here, it seems.
Now there's a thought. Anyone tried filling a tube with helium, how does it work?
