Sunday morning ride to Sentosa Island, then a half loop around some of the WW2 British gun placements overlooking the harbour. Hilly ride, tested my stamina. Gathering clouds gifted me a cool-ish ride home! How long the NE monsoon seems to have lasted this year!

I have the Damon Hill (number 5) version of the Williams complete with driver, but it only has the little blocks and not the Rothmans branding.

In other news, there were a couple of light sprinkes of rain while I was out on a bike ride earlier. The blue sky never made it to where I was.

What make is it ? Mine is the Onyx version . I will try to make the front struts for the front suspension out of thin brass tubing squashed to make the airfoil section . The present plastic ones are broken and some are missing. I may have to fabricate some rear wheels unless I can find some on the net . Mine has the block transfers or some of them. For some reason a previous owner went over them with thinners and made a right mess. I thought I might try photographing some of the remaining transfers and print some off on some transfer material.

Spent most of the afternoon fighting with the Bank of Scotland internet banking with no success.
Fortunately I also have a Virgin Money a/c with enough in it to pay the bill so that worked ok but then I tried to transfer some from B of S to Virgin to make it up again and failed completely.
If you are ever tempted to get a B of S internet a/c my advice is certainly do not even think about it.
I used B of S internet banking to pay contractors doing renovations in a flat in Aberdeen which worked ok but the system has now got so secure you cannot use it for anything.
I wil need to change my working account to B of S to try to build up the Virgin one which was my working account.
Be warned.

Ah! It's all to prevent a run on the bank ! They know that however they mess up that people can't get at their money !

Pedant moment. A Methodist minister lives in a "manse" not a "vicarage." Having grown up in a succession of them I can also say with some expertise that they tend to be big and somewhat poorly repaired.

A Catholic priest may be a "Reverend Father" but a Methodist minister is just a reverend, not a "father" (although he was in my case, obviously).

All ministers are padre to me having had a Dad who was in the army. The only ministers I don't are Catcholic most believe they have a right so they get 1st names only. I've also a friend who's a CofE vicar so he get's 1st name too.

Traditionally my family are Methodist and very much Chapel not church. The army put my Dad down as Methodist one pay day he told the Sergeant he was actually Primitive Methodist. Not having enough room on his pay book to add it , the Sergeant just added Prim before the word Methodist. At his funeral it was mention he was a Methodist and it was so important , he made it know he was in fact Primitive Methodist. In reality once the padre found out and checking kings regs. It got him out of all weekly church parades and most church services.

I was thinking that we should have a section for those who want to do a bit of DIY on their bikes .
I thought I would start the ball rolling by how to convert your plain steel frame into butted simply by using a small grind stone on a long flexible shaft on an electric drill ! Simply feed the whizzing grindstone to roughly the centre of each tube ! Be careful not to go too far and grind through but any mistakes can easily be remedied by the strategic placement of a transfer !

I gave up a few years ago, trying to 'win' fleabay auctions. No matter how tatty the item is, there's always someone out there that wants that tat more than you!

Google play store or whatever for "sniper".
Ignore the more obvious kill, kill, murder mayhem things.
Not sure it's legal or allowed by fleabay but I am assured it will help improve you win rate.
Your final max bid does have to reflect the item, the market and recognise there are nutters who get in a feeding frenzy of bidding. They tend to own things that cost a lot more than they are worth.

Have you laundered it too?
Or just hoovered the bed and hung the bedding out?

Yes it got washed then hung out on the whirly gig to dry

32 miles and a cuppa already ? I had a lie-in until 7am, have done a 4-mile ‘stomp’ and a couple of chores. But now feel positively lethargic compared…..🤣

Up early so as not to interfere with the family day
