I've been so cruel to Bonnie today. First I deprive her of my triple choc chip ice-cream. Now I'm not giving her any of the grapes I'm snacking on!!

For her own good though grapes are poisonous to dogs after all.
When we had our 1st dog we often had ice cream off the ice cream man. He got to know the dog and use to do him a mini cone just for him.

Wish the evenings would lighten up. Having to use the car for shopping I tend to double up shop visits. Yet again Morrisons only generated what would be a rucksack full of shopping so called into Asda and without thinking it amounted to two very full bags of shopping that would have seriously challenged the panniers.

Had a lovely luncheon of tiger bread, smoked salmon terrine and manchego cheese, plus an apple, a pear and two

Then went out into the garden with the telescopic loppers and did some more on the mulberry's haircut. It's green bin this week, and there's still some space in there.

After, I did all the prep for tonight's supper.

Now sat with a and am watching the early evening news.

Realised the other day that I'd managed to bend my loppers & they won't telescope any more.

Went to a place that did doggie ice cream, Cassie wouldn't touch it until it had melted.

Tree at the top of a steep wooded slope, the swing went very high, I lost my grip when I was a long way up, fell into the debris at the bottom of the slope and badly skinned the outside of one of my thighs, looking back I'm surprised I didn't break something.

Fabby supper tonight consisting of the last of the minestrone soup, then honey & mustard-glazed gammon, roasties, steamed green beans and braised red cabbage.

That gammon was absolutely superb - a fair bit of the chunk that's left will end up in my lunchtime sandwiches. And the stock will make a wonderful pot of soup.

About Sixty miles completed today, including a visit to an island (albeit it one linked by a causeway).

Only just over 34 for me, but it felt more in the cold & wind.
