Another bright sunny day but currently still pretty cold.
In my social visit to the Chemist yesterday I joined in a conversation with the girl who got her first job working [ ie running it] in my office at age 17. That was 50 years ago. Where have the years gone?
That means she is now not far off 70 and still seems the same but grey hair instead of black.

We currently at least do not have that problem. I phoned yesterday about 1100 and was at GP by 1500. She was a bit late taking me in but apparently getting up to date on my medical records.
This may change when touroid invasion starts as many of them wait for holidays to go and waste time with a GP who used to complain bitterly but had subtle ways of punishing them.

I'd say I can't understand why anyone would go to see a doctor you didn't know. That said, since we moved I've visited the doctor more frequently than ever before & never seen the same doctor.

Bought FELIX AGAIL at the start of Feb, £52 for 160 pouches (33p each). It's £58 now - 36p

Cheapest is 88 for £27.49 - 31p each 'on offer' - just bagged that on-line (2 boxes of 88). - I've seen 40-45p a packet even on 40 packs in the supermarket. Should last a month !

They are going to have to eat something cheaper (not a chance) !

Cassie likes change. I buy a six pack of each of the cans with gravy, surprising how they vary in price.

Had a lovely luncheon of a ham & cheese sandwich, an apple, a pear and two :cuppa:

Then I figured I might as well go and do some firewood. I still had a load of lengths of wood I brought in the other week and stacked in the garage, so I sawed those up into logs, along with some other lengths that were leant up against the fence / log store.

After, I went for a putter along the edge of the wood where I know I had some half cleared up storm damage (a leylandii split and smashed into a cherry tree as it came down) to see what still needed doing. Will need to spend some time in there with the loppers first, but there is a LOT of seasoned wood that's good to go. With luck, there's more than enough there to see me through till the warmer weather.

Am now sat by the fire with a :cuppa: and watching the early evening news.

At least you don't have to pay more than £200 for logs! They've gone up a bit.
