Morning .
Grey here at the moment .
Had a disrupted sleep . Some of it was trying to get my head comfy the other bit was concerning my brother's car he recently bought. I don't like the way in which the dealer is trying to palm off the repairs to a warranty company. The car is working fine except that the entertainment system , sat nav and parking censors have stopped working. I don't think he has suddenly become a Plymouth Brethren. I have read the AA web site. It was an approved dealer, it states that their team can step in to resolve issues . It also gives details of the consumer rights which states that the dealer is liable for any repairs . I don't like the way in which he expects my brother to do all the arranging for diagnostics and deal with the warranty company when it is his responsibility. I will ring him up this morning and say that I expect to hear from my brother that he is arranging to have it sorted!

A garage owner once told me warranty companies in his experience hardly ever paid out and argued their way out of any responsibility for anything after having pocketed the premium of course.

I'm formatting the SD card in my house alarm system.
Please don't tell any footpads or vagabonds that the alarms are off-line for the next 5 minutes!!

D*mn, I read that 43 minutes too late.

Yes . I don't like them. Warranties only cover any manufacturing faults. Normal wear and tear is not covered.
I don't like the way the chap is trying to off load his responsibility.

Well, my veterinary practice has just lost a client that's been going for 30 years. Just taken time off work to take Leo for his vaccinations. Booked him in weeks ago. Get there and the vet turns round and says they can't give him his vaccination because they are now owned by a big company and they only do one. You may have to see a locum, that does a specific day.

Erm, I pay you £180 a year for his vaccinations because of his health condition, and I'm working on that day. Leo is a cat flu carrier and should have a non live vaccine. Vet and staff couldn't give a shoot. No alternative offered.

I must say they got both barrels in a full reception, I'd taken time off, paid for the treatment now you aren't doing it.

Unfortunately the owner retired 6 months ago. I did also say, this is why my other 3 cats are at a different vets. I said I'd only stayed as Yvonne (the owner) had looked after Leo when we got him (he needed over £1k of treatment).

Other vet's contacted, direct debit cancelled, and Leo's details transferred within 30 minutes.

Google review left. Seems most recent reviews say similar, gone to pot now its a corporate owner.

Rant over.

Yesterday a box of very nice flapjacks arrived yesterday from a potential sponsor.

Technically they were for son no. 2. Or at least they had his name on them and sponsorship details within. But he's away so ... :mrpig:

He knows they're here. And I'll take him the crumbs on Tuesday evening when I see him in Derby.

Got lost in transit did they ?
