I've just sat through something on Netflix. 'Luther'
The TV series was ok. This however was so ludicrously slapped together and so hopelessly full of implausible/impossible stuff l felt l had to endure it to the end just be sure it was over and done with.
I mean l know it's not meant to be taken seriously but the script writers and producers could at least try a little bit.

I had hoped to do lots of cycling in this long weekend but I still had a very chesty cough so didn't.
I went to the national park for a leisurely wander around the garden and a slice of Bailey's cheesecake in the cafe. It was preferable to watching a parade in a street packed with drunk people.
I noted that the tourists have arrived at Glenveagh, easily identifiable by the badly fitted tweet cap and the saill éalaigh.
Another theatre trip tonight, a different theatre in a different town. Excellent locally written and produced play again. I got given a proper ticket this time so presumably barcodes haven't reached the provinces. I wasn't allowed to take my glass of Coke in because it was in a glass. Why was the barmaid putting peoples' drinks in proper glasses if this is their rule.

Don't laugh too much, but I nearly bought a 'Flying Pigeon' bike from China (not just 'Made in China', but a Chinese brand)... It was in absolutely mint condition and had been used almost never.
Here's the rub, it was one of 12 or whatever it was, brought to the U.S. by a bunch of friends, so when I saw it for sale, I offered to send it on it's way around globe.
Turns out the bike was stolen so sale is off. 😭
Oh well, so much for having a more exotic asian model in my collection...

I often fancy one of those. I enjoy riding my my Rudge but I never like to take it out in winter as it is 72 years old. If I had a modern copy, I wouldn't care

Yeah this was a proper 'sit up and beg' bike. I looked rather lovely actually and it had the city on the chain guard... 'Tianjin' or whatever it was

That said, I do have a bike from 1926 to restore, so 72 is Nothing!
