Quite a nice day and pretty mild compared to recent days. I felt better than recent days so I washed, T-cutted and polished my baby Toyota today.

There's a reason why I never took up car detailing as a hobby and why I favour small cars. I find doing this very tedious. Imagine T-cutting and polishing something like an Audi Q7 or a Toyota Land Cruiser.:sweat:

I'm happy with the outcome though. It isn't perfect but it will do for me. It is 17 years old after all. I also trial-fitted the Viscount Aerospace in the back and it sits flat with the front wheel off and the passenger seat moved forward a bit so it confirmed my thoughts that it is more spacious than the Fabia despite being a few inches shorter.

Good morning all. The first coffee of the day was also the penultimate one from the rather large stock of Lidl's cheap stuff I'd built up from when they used to have their weekend specials, so I'm actually going to have to go out and buy some more today. That will have to wait until later as it's :rain::rain::rain:yet again so I may do a bit of bike chain cleaning while waiting for it to stop.

The things you discover when cleaning bike chains...

Happy cake day for Sunday (and @raleighnut if memory serves). What time is the cake cutting ceremony and have you made enough for all of us?

Thank you :hugs:

If no one is too greedy, I think there will be enough to go around. Cake cutting will take place after the final whistle of Arsenal v Crystal Palace but before lights out in the Saudi GP.

My mate once went for some petrol paid on his card handed the receipt but the woman kept the card receipt. He asked for it she made up some story why they kept them. He worked for a bank at the time , told her hand it over or I call the police. So still standing in the shop he phoned them explained what was going on. They arrived and sorted it they went on to investigate and it turned out she'd a thing going and was passing them on to card cloning gang.

I'm confused: we always keep a card receipt, and if the customer wants one they get a copy. Isn't this the case in the UK?
