Mostly sunshine today but a few heavy showers.
Up at my top shed looking for bits for the trike I sat in the sun for a bit.
The main birds to be seen are herring gulls with a few hoodie crows but a pair of probably golden eagles passed over being hassled by one seagull. The binocs I keep up there were naturally not handy when I wanted them so must find a better spot to stash them.
One complaint about the Kettiessel delta type trike is lack of anywhere to put accessories easily. There is a very small right hand mirror but I want one on the other side and a bigger one to the right. Need to buy new mirrors as nothing I have fits. On single track roads it is important to keep an eye on traffic from behind. Also I am used to a side bag on the Adventure but again I have failed to find anything I have that can be mounted anywhere.
I have found an accessory to keep the steering straight when loading into the car. A heavy hammer shaft fits nicely.

All has been sorted and worked out.It seems the dentist in question needs surgery himself, and his hospital wants him in on monday. Now the reception staff knew this, but did not tell the clients. But the new practise manager told Mrs p who said no fuss would have been made had we all known. But said Manager explained the Practise has not been run properly and she is finding this out daily. Now it seems there is another part to this group nearer to Mrs P's dad,we are trying to get him moved.Appointment will be a week later now but the 18th will still stay in place and hopefully his teeth will be ready soon five months and counting so far sheet if you ask me.

New 'cabin bags' have been delivered. I'll get to see how tiny they are as these comply with the Sleasy Jet under seat requirements - i.e. minuscule. Going to be packing light and wearing my wardrobe for Amsterdam (well wearing my big boots).

I shall update later.

We're heading to the Canaries next month for a 5-day quick break and have a 23kg luggage allowance each. For five days! SWMBO's suggesting we stick everything in one suitcase. But she doesn't know I'm planning to hire a bike for a day or so whilst out there

Why don't you leave your extra stuff in our unused suitcase and we'll drop it off whilst passing over Amsterdam?
