A lovely sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, but by 'eck, that breeze is cold!
Slept well, and have had a quiet morning doing not a lot. I've rounded up some ingredients for tonight's supper and had a look at a damaged branch on an ornamental bay. It hasn't broken off, though that's what it looks like - it's actually split where it joined the main trunk, and in keeling over, it's taken off a branch from a nearby flowering cherry. Nothing in danger of doing any damage, so it can wait till after the weekend to get sorted. In any case, there's not a lot of space in the green wheelie bin, as that's full of ash trimmings.
I shall be doing the traditional thing of colouring hard-boiled eggs this afternoon. Got a mix of vegetable matter and food colouring to have a bit of fun with. I remember when dad was alive, colouring eggs for Easter was one heck of a palaver. And then there were these water-based transfer things that he liked to use. Those were SO tricky to get right, mine always ended up wrinkled and wonky...
Seen something I like on the Bay, so will reach out to the seller to ask if they'll take a cheque. I can't use my bank's online customer services thingy to sort out the lock on Bay of E transactions because I've changed my mobile number & provider after a spat with Virgin, and I can't change the details on my account without going through the customer services thingy. It seems that the physical bricks & mortar branches in Cambridge no longer exist, but apparently I could use a branch of Natwest instead...
Anyways, it's time for luncheon.
