Any election leaflets I received have been stuck into a pre-paid envelope I received with some junk mail. Some insurance compny will be able to read all about my local candidates for Suffolk Coastal council in the next couple of weeks.I now have aand a Min Spy.
Not much voting choice here, but the Conservatives have been REALLY desperate to hang on, because I've had so many blue leaflets through the letter box in the last month. Lost on me, I'm afraid, but they've been useful to light the fire.
Well l did get the full range of colours at least. I thought Green would at least blend in with the trees.

Blue, yellow or red here. Red's a wasted vote and blue can whistle for mine. Blue lost control of the council last time 'round, and I hope it stays that way.

I am eating a Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich, some french fries, some sweet tea and cole slaw from Bojangles. Over in The States, the conservatives are red, and the liberals blue. Our local elections were about 4 weeks ago, and the MAGA people dominated the Republican ticket, which led them all to defeat. Mrs. GA has gone to a sorority function at a steak house.

Liberal Democrats (centrists) are yellow here, Labour (left) are red.
Although US politics are somewhat skewed to the right compared to here in the UK, although since 2016 that's been the trend here too. I think your Republicans would call our Liberal Democrats raging communists.
I think what a lot of politicians seem to forget is that the average person wants a decent wage, have their bins emptied, the local infrastructure maintained, have good schools for their ankle biters and be able to see a quack when needed. Oh, and that a leisure centre and library staying open would be nice too.

Now that I've got a Toyota, I can revel in that great Japanese tradition of having a cable-operated petrol flap so I can open it for them by pulling the little lever beside the seat.
That makes sense as Japanese petrol stations have attendants who not only fill the car and take your cash/card to the till, they also wash the windscreen while the tank is filling up and bow when you drive off; you never need to leave the vehicle.
