Same here - only blue or yellow.

Despite what all the different parties say in their leaflets about the good responses from door to door canvassing I haven’t in the last thirty years had any of the parties knocking at my door.

If they can’t be bothered neither can I be bothered to vote.

Only one pamphlet from one party.
Like you say, if they can't be bothered to even let me know what their lies are this time.......

Years ago, remote boot releases were common on Japanese cars too but it no longer seems to be case.

My aunt's Datsun 120Y seemed like the Starship Enterprise back in day compared to things like Cortinas and Escorts. It had all mod cons like radio, remote fuel and boot release and an engine that started in wet weather.

The downside those remote releases is that if the cable breaks, as happened in the Mitsubishi Galant my brother had years ago, is that cable replacement is a right PITA.

Japanese Taxis do that: it nearly took my teeth when I first used one. The left hand passenger door also workse from the drivers seat. THey operate on compressed air and a big tank takes up about a third of the boot space...

That always bothered me: it seemed that the sort of personality required to get elected wasn't necessarily the sort of personality needed to be a good politician.

We never get people knocking the door in election time here. From memory I think it's technically illegal because your home is a private space so they aren't allowed to. Even Jehovah's Witnesses have a stand in shopping centres and railway stations instead of visiting people.

I have been up the garden to check on the Hedgehog food bowls and both the food and water are empty again . I checked on our new guest yesterday and she was fast asleep in her new house. We have put a third house up near there so it has become a hog housing estate . I can't tell if it has any guests as it doesn't have a lid which can be removed .

My daughter who is a Nurse sent me this:

Makes it sound as if the nurses dispute is political.

Went to the local office where some really helpfull staff sorted out my forms and took 20 minutes to get the printer to work. This is why I insist on not doing my application online; if the Agency can't get the printer to talk to the computers, what are the chances my application will vanish into the ether?

I've always had a thing about printers. I cannot just leave a non working one alone.
