Nope, none of these.

He was from Bolton, Lancashire from memory. Not a Yorkshireman. Although could probably see Yorkshire from the top of the towers he climbed, wistfully hoping he was ...

I really hope you're wrong there ...

Virtual cake to @deptfordmarmoset Hopefully, unless @biggs682 is correct and it's something else hiding under Woodrup decals.

I'll get in contact with Woodrup to work out what it actually is, but I'm guessing you're right about the age.

And @Gravity Aided - after spraying the shifter very liberally with a combination of degreaser and penetrating fluid last night it's now working this morning.

The wheelset doesn't match, although they're both Mavic's with 105 hubs and the saddle's a bouncy gel-type one. But otherwise a lot cleaner under the dirt now I've put it together and given it a good clean. It'll need a good going-over, but everything now moves, plus chain/bar tape/cables and a new decal for the left-hand side of the seat tube.

Crikey! I'm now considering doing the lottery.

I am sitting quietly trying to calm down after trying to replace a flush in our upstairs toilet.
B***Dy designers! !!!
I had to replace our old unit as the fitting for the outlet was the wrong size. Can't buy fittings to fill the large outlet.
All was going well! I turned off the water next to the unit. Ah! I thought that would be a good idea! I emptied the close coupled cistern and drained the remains with a sponge .
I then set about unscrewing it from the all . I used Stainless Steel screws. No corroding ! Good idea! Then I started heaping loads of praise on the designers! *******! ********! They put the inlet right in front of one of the screws!!!!! Eventually I managed to undo both screws . I had the new flush with the remote push button out of the packaging ready to install. I unscrewed the last 2 plastic retaining screws and lifted the cistern off and started to unscrew the flush. More praise was heaped on the designers when I discovered that they were different sizes ! ******* ********! The new unit has a large diameter size outlet!
All of this work was to try to resolve the push button flush. The flush will work properly with the lid removed and by just touching the buttons with your fingers . Once the lid is fitted the flush refuses to operate correctly! It will just do a very short flush, not even what it is supposed to do. We have to hold the button down .
Perhaps I should cut the designers fingers off and fit them ?

Described as an 18" frame, with slightly off photos, I took a punt and hoped it wasn't. They were wrong; it's a 21" / 54cm frame so just right for me.

The wheelset doesn't match, although they're both Mavic's (Module 3 grey front / MA3 chrome rear) with 105 hubs (7 front/8 rear) and the saddle's a bouncy gel-type one. But otherwise a lot cleaner under the dirt now I've put it together and given it a good clean, although the wheels need more cleaning. It'll need a good going-over, but everything now moves, plus chain/bar tape/cables and a new decal for the left-hand side of the seat tube. The tyres look new with the centre line extra bits but appear to have been on there a long time, suggesting it's been stood. Inflated they have a noticeable flat spot, so will be replaced.
The Fred Dibnah Appreciation Society was formed in Halifax!

Fred only came twice to their meetings.

Just cleaned out 2 of my 3 fish tanks.

New plants, cleaned the filter, and bought a new one for one of the tanks, and a new cooling fan for one of the tanks too.

However, I had to get rid of 2 fish. They were not doing great and it was a precaution in case they were ill and could pass any illnes onto the other fish in that tank.

I had those 2 fish for quite a while, a couple of years, so old age may've got to them.

I'll sort out the biggest of the tanks tomorrow but that doesn't need much doing to it.

Mine always needs holding down. Suppose to have a short and a long. Two buttons both short.

I could remove the buttons and just have a stick sticking out but I don't think it would look very good in the bathroom .

A humid and currently sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, but it rained overnight and thunderstorms are forecast for the afternoon.

Slept well, and have had something of a kitchen morning, sorting out the mountain of groceries. A friend popped by to pick up her share of yesterday's bargains.

Our usual postie (a lovely Jamaican chap) delivered the parcel that didn't get delivered on Saturday. He was most apologetic, as it would have fitted in my letter box, but it wasn't him doing the round that day. No harm done though.

It is time for luncheon.

A colleague from my Cabinet maker training went on to study at a design school. He said it was astonishing how often other students came up with hopelessly unworkable ideas because they hadn't the first clue how things worked and assumed "glue" could hold up anything.

I've had to learn to write and read dates as mm/DD/yyyy to please my American Lords and Masters.

The end result is that I constantly confuse myself with the more usual DD/mm/yyyy that we use here so I confuse myself and everyone else by doing silly things like writing one of my extremely infrequent cheques and dating in several months in advance!
