Good morning from Harrogate. Just finishing the first cuppa of the day then it's off for a cooked breakfast to set me up for the day.

I don't have a Glastonbury.

I have an abbey near me, but not a Glastonbury. Benedictines, IIRC.

Well, flip my hat, I never knew that!

Mrs Dr B and myself are both lapsed physicists. In my case my research area was around atomic physics (positrons to be exact) so I know exactly who John Dalton was. I didn’t know he’d researched colourblindness though.

My second year undergrad supervisor was a biophysicist who had a grant to study colourblindness. It turned out that a blue-eyed Bollo who had very very few green cones was the ideal test subject for his experiments, so I learned quite a lot about the condition. TL;DR; you don’t want me rewiring your house.

That's partly the reason the insulation on the earth wire is green and yellow. The rest are single coloured.

The new air con units are in and working beautifully. I don't need to have them anywhere near as high as the old ones.

Morning.
I went out for a ride with my friends last night . My friend seemed to have chosen the most uppiest route possible ! I think it must have been going uphill for 3/4 of the ride . I was getting a tad peed off! We stopped off at the White Horse in Biddestone for a couple of drinks before a nice freewheel back home . We did 16 miles.

Those 2 Chipmunks might have been from the BBMF. Apparently they have 2 for training pilots for aircraft with tail wheels .

Their main aircraft are grounded due to a fault found in a Merlin engine . Sad as I was hoping to see the Lanc today .

There are dozens, maybe scores of cyclists riding past my house. I've been watching them for the past 10 - 15 minutes; an almost constant peleton. They are going in wrong direction for the downs. Both men and women, all looking very focused.

I wonder where they are off to.
