Morning.
It is grey and wet here. It looks like the planned ride for this morning will be cancelled.

Cloudy and looks like it might rain today.
Must try to get out for a walk before it starts.
Chaos down Main St as part is being resurfaced and despite plenty of notice cars are still parked on the bit to be done. Somebody will be along with a forklift soon unless their insurance forbids this obvious solution as there would no doubt be chancers making claims.
A bit like the chancer who had an encounter with our Cortina as my wife made her way to work in Dervaig. Both probably going too fast for a single track road. No visible damage to our car but his had a dent which could not be identified among the mass of others his wreck of a car had. Told him to *** off.
Talking of cars FB is full of complaints about gridlock in Oban. They will encourage the touroid so what do they expect?
A problem if heading for a ferry tho" and apparently an ambulance was stuck which is serious.

Praise! Praise Be to the Weather Gods! For our garden is saved! Saved from a hideous parched and arid death!
Yes, it's raining yet again, and in fact it's starting to get a bit like that Monty Python sketch ~ "stop it now, it's getting silly".
Yesterday I spotted a crow having a bath in the middle of the field out the back of us, splashing around like nobody's business, in a field!

Good morning from a dull, grey & overcast Suffolk. There's also been a couple of rain showers blowing through to add to yesterday evening's rain. Nothing planned for today except for a few domestics and a trip to Lidl for some rolls and to see if they've got any Easter chocolate price reductions.

£125 from ERNIE will do me nicely as food & drink spending money for the mid month trips north.

I can but SWMBO says I can't yet. However, there's redundancies at my university so it may be forced upon me.

However, retiring would mean less new bikes/ bike parts.

Not sure how it works but you need less money to live on when retired or so the experts tell me.
I certainly think I live well enough on my retiral income and I do not stint particularly and buy expensive things like a Kettwiessel etrike. ( I think that is how you spell it.)
Not being able or inclined nowadays to do much mechanical stuff I get others to do it which takes money of course.
