for the most part, my tool storage is very organised...

even the jars on my 'spice' rack have screws and nails and stuff all neatly sorted.
but this allen key, the only one that fits my guitar saddle is probably the only imperial key i have. Last used 20 years ago when i bought the guitar and set it up. At least I have two now... or in a few days.

I see your tool storage, and raise you:

The tools at the back of the garage are organised by size. Except for saws and sharp things that are all together.

Big hammers and wrenches are together, in one drawer, then there is the medium screwdrivers, pliers, chisels etc. Then very small things in the top drawer.

The tools I use most are together in a large tray, on my work bench. so I do not always have to venture into the back of the garage.

I'd get in touch with a local vet, who can scan him for a chip. Also, your local branch of CP should have someone dealing with Lost & Found cats. Failing that, if you're stuck trying to find his Humans, I know a lot of Siamese people through the cat fancy, and they've got a good grapevine.

What colour is he, btw?

He's a seal point. Chipped, but no one answering the phone. Feelers out in local animal charities but nothing positive yet. Someone must be missing him, he's too healthy looking to have lived outside for any time.

Today's domestics were interrupted by an unexpected lunch. I'd finished the upstais vacuuming & tidying when mum rang - apparently she'd been on the phone with my sister and, when she found out that my neice was home from University, went into full granny mode which ended up with seven of us meeting for an impromptu lunch in Felixstowe. A most enjoyable 2 1/2 hours.

Fingers crossed you can reunite him with his Humans.

If you get stuck, want me to put you in touch with some of the Siamese people? I only know folk in this region (East Anglia) but there is a good grapevine going with the northern clubs. Plus there's the Siamese Cat Welfare Trust.

Just travelled back to Freiburg from Stuttgart. This is complicated by 2 factors:

1: The current, massive programme of rebuilding going on to get the network up to speed, meaning there are lots of replacement bus services.

2: The existence of the Black Forest.

Still, it was a very pretty, if rather slow two hours riding on the train through the hills...
Gateaux!!!

Was its existence ever in doubt?
