Aaaanyways, time to feed the cat, and then it will be time to feed me.

Back on base now after a tiring trip.A few very light showers of rain but generally not a bad day and less cold than recently.
Made a slight error in timing and did not go to the ferry terminal until the ferry before the one I was booked on had loaded. If I had gone earlier I could probably have got on as a standby but missed that chance by half a dozen cars in front of me so had to wait on my original booking.
Lots of vehicles but not too many passengers possibly due to large trucks with only a driver and the weather did not encourage day trippers. Fast but chaotic run home and the lead car chickened out after too many frights. Too much traffic for comfort and that is on a quiet day.
Got a seafood platter and some kind of pasta salad in Lidl for evening meal. Not impressed.
Annoyed with myself as I forgot to get pies and some mini pizzas for lunch times.

And he's French, not Belgian ;)
Who - the subject of your quiz or Plastic Bertrand? If it's the latter then...

Roger François Jouret (born 24 February 1954),[1] better known as Plastic Bertrand, is a Belgian musician, songwriter, producer, editor and television presenter, best known for the 1977 international hit single "Ça plane pour moi".

And sorry to any Hitch Hiker's fans for the swearing.

It conveniently started pouring rain after I finished work. Best top up the reservoirs and prevent the council imposing water restrictions after a whole 36 hours without rain...

I bought a bulb to fix my reversing light in my car. I was toying with the idea of replacing the indicator bulbs too as they're not very orange any more (whatever was wrong with proper amber indicator lenses anyway) but discovered there are two different types of them and I wasn't sure what I needed. I had walked to the motor factors so didn't have the car handy.

Reversing light now working but now one of the tail lamps has blown a bulb. I have loads of bulbs in a drawer but why do Toyota use such weird types? Must be a Japanese standard. Back to the motor factors tomorrow.

It always seems that when I book a car in for test, things start to go wrong. The best one was about to leave for the test centre in the 205, I opened the back door to throw something in the back seat and then the door wouldn't stay closed! By the time I had stripped off the doorpad, messed about and got the door opening and closing again, I had missed my appointment and had to pay the fee for a missed appointment and I still have no idea what happened the door catch but it never happened again.:banghead:
