Well I didn't win the bike I'd been bidding on - I stuck a bid in but got held up in a class. The £30-40 estimate was out and it sold for £120 which was over my bid - https://www.easyliveauction.com/cat...s-vintage-collectors-general-auction-lot-711/

Can't put the laurel through the muncher either.

Yeah, I've made that mistake.

Just had to pay £59 for a sticker to pop on my 'green bin' so the council will re-cycle my garden waste.

With hedges on three sides, it's a forgone conclusion here too, at the same price. Strange thing is, I always swore I'd not buy a house with a hedge.

It's been a chilly and mostly sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, with showers forecast.

I slept well (didn't half need that!) and overslept massively. Whoops! So have been a bit behind the curve today. Did some tidying up, topped up the wood bins in the house.

Had a lovely luncheon of a crusty white roll, half with home made pate, half with cheddar & coleslaw, plus some fruit and a :cuppa:

Watched some of the action from Cheltenham, and then had some kitchen time, making a nice big pot of beef & vegetable soup.

Now sat by the fire with a :cuppa: and watching the news.

I should also add, I had intended a bicycular bimble this afternoon, but canned the idea on account of the forecast showers. Of course, because I didn't go out, it didn't rain.

If I had gone out, I'd have gotten soaked.

Law of Sod LOL!

We found Luna (cat) in the garden earlier. Suspecting she'd jumped out of my son's window, we went outside to get her. Just as I got near, she snuck under a small gap in the cat run and went back in. Immediately out with some timber and screws and filled the 'gap'. She's a bit of a slinky ! The other three hadn't found it.
