We are preparing for our Rocky Mountains trail tomorrow. The hotel is going to sign us out with a predator spray as there are black bears, cougars, wolves and mountain lions which are the main predators. We watched the mountain bikers preparing this afternoon they too were carrying predator spray. Nobody has been attacked since the 1980s but mountain lions are the big worry.

What, like the Alien thing in those films? All Arnold Schwartzennigger had to do was spray a fine mist and it would have disappeared, instead of him nuking the place or whatever it was? 🤔😳🤣


And are any equivalents for Xenomorphs, as I first saw 'Aliens' on the T.V. when I was about 6 and it scarred me for life? 🤷‍♂️

The older formulation does if you don't let it soak in properly for a good while. The newer version is a bit better, apparently.

Blue sky, lightest of breezes. Mama crow is facing east with her tail feathers up high. There's a particularly loud goldfinch in the locality. It always surprises me how well goldfinches do in the cityside.

The front of my car has collected an especially rich harvest of dead insects after Sunday's trip up to Norfolk. I may take it to the carwash.
