A really hot and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.
Sleep was middling at best - just too hot, really and took me ages to drop off. This morning was mostly spent giving Colin his first bath of the year, and removing a winter's worth of accumulated mud and crud off. I now have a much more presentable albeit still not entirely clean car, although removing the mud off the parking sensors makes them sensitive enough to ping at every single nettle when reversing. Also furkled in the freezer for some smoked bacon and some beef mince, which I will use to make a ragu for pasta.
Had a lovely luncheon of the last of the tiger bread, the last of the rilettes de porc and some of the raspberry jam pan scrapings. Plus fruit and a

of course.
Watched the snooker, and then when that was done, trotted off out, first to the village to vote for the least worst clown on the ballot sheet, and thence to Tesco to do some shopping, as I was muchly in need of bread, milk, sugar and fruit. Managed to pick up the bread and milk on yellow sticker, so very happy with that. Chucked £25-worth of petrol in the car on the way home, and I now have almost a full tank, which will be handy since I'm driving to Stoneleigh on Saturday to steward at a cat show.
A couple of turkey bagels and a

for supper, and am now watching the snooker.
