I've been keeping an eye on the long-range weather forecast on the coast for 28 May. 2 days ago it was dry with a northerly, yesterday it was rain showers with a southerly, today it's thundery showers with a south-westerly. Why can't they admit that they don't have the slightest idea?

Memo to self: pack rainwear.

Cloudy and cool morning. Sunny afternoon. Despite having both satellite cables fitted the Foxsat PVR would still not give a picture output whilst recording last evening. Ended up doing a factory reset after which it seemed to behave.
Thinking a squirrel might be helping itself to the sunflower hearts, although I did see a couple of (I think) goldfinches on the feeder for some time yesterday. Car consequently given another outing in a futile hunt for a squirrel proof cage.
Waitrose called in and they did for a change have some store newspapers although probably run out now.

Decided the bath could do with a deep clean and that mousse stuff might be the answer. Trolley app said Sainsbury's were the cheapest, why did I not think of that yesterday. Ebike thence to where I had been 24 hours ago, the wind gusts having reduced in intensity but apparently back to 30mph tomorrow.

Happy chap. Did 42 miles on the Colnago CX bike, 24 were proper off road (canal and gravel). Did it on just water, with a coffee about 4 miles from home at a local trail mobile unit. Hip was fine - no issues despite the hammering. Still not got power on hills but the CX has gears, and lots. Last 10 were hard, but the coffee sorted me for the hill home.

I hadn't planned to go as far, but seeing as I wasn't required home, I just carried on. Pleased as I was worried about the off road hammering on the bootie. Hip socket appears to have healed smooth - had it not, that would have been curtains - new total hip replacement soon. I'll need one, I've been told, but hopefully not for a while. My fractures were complicated. Doctors worried about the hip socket (i.e. needs a new one) me, the ramus (aka sit bone).
