A productive afternoon so far: I have cleared / moved / deleted over two years' worth of e-mails from my work Inbox. They've been piling up and life has meant I've not had any spare time until now to have a sort out. Much happier with that.
Now I need to do the same for my home e-mails.

After a morning and early afternoon of general faffing about indoors, I managed to get out for a much needed hour and a half on the bike. Somehow managed to time it to coincide with a drop in the wind and cleared the Ipswich area before a black cloud emptied itself.
There's now two decisions I need to make...
1 - to have a quick snooze or not
2 - sausages or fish fingers with the egg & beans for tea

we used to joke about how we are always late & the last one on the Martha's Vineyard ferries. they close the chain then have to open it for us, just before departing. but this is amazing & I hope no one got hurt!

Daughter, who is a Teacher in North West Connecticut, just texted us, she had to go back in the building from recess because there was a bear
she's moving to Southern Vermont, where on her interview & walk-around, when they passed a trail, she was told "there's a bear in there"

Evening cuppa went down well
SWMBO wanted a plain digestive so i offered to lick the chocolate off the chocolate digestives but apparently that's not good enough

Sort of a repeat of yesterday weather wise.The ebike had its first outing since last Saturday this evening and to Lidl again although a different route outbound and the return had to be varied due to an easily diverted from road closure.
Two others on the return were pretty quite due to road closures, one being the A59 westbound at Starbeck level crossing until Monday apparently.
Lidl was another unsuccessful shop, seemingly the 15% off flavoured tuna was not that an unique mobile app offer

Thank you for the hugs. After a week of > 50 km per day, standing for a few hours was not what I needed

It's been a cool day with sunshine and showers here chez Casa Reynard after overnight rain.
Did not sleep well, and so I've felt distinctly sub-par today. Had a quiet morning - finished the mending. Didn't fancy luncheon, so just spent the first part of the afternoon writing.
After, I tootled into town to do a few errands. Ground ginger was acquired. Also acquired a pack with two 100w light bulbs (I had to replace the one in the sitting room overhead light fixture), a pair of rubber-coated gardening gloves for the parental. two big packs of compost (need to repot my triffids), a litre of Big Tom tomato fertilizer and a co-ax cable.
The spare signal booster is dud - as I thought it might be. But with a bit of jiggery pokery, I've got the downstairs TV working reasonably well again. Will look elsewhere for a signal booster. Wish I hadn't wasted money on the cable now, but there was no way of testing the spare signal booster without it. I will probably take it back for a refund.
Had a gammon, cheese & coleslaw sandwich and a
for supper.
Now listening to the T20 cricket on the radio.
